Stephen is a seasoned engineering and operations leader with over 30 years of experience in the structural engineering industry. Over the past decade at McVeigh, he has become a cornerstone of the business—initially leading our structural team and now serving as Head of Operations, where he plays a central role in shaping company-wide performance, project delivery, and operational strategy.

Stephen’s leadership spans across project management, resource planning, quality assurance, and team development. He is responsible for aligning day-to-day operations with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. He oversees the coordination of multidisciplinary teams and works closely with team leaders to optimise workflows and elevate performance across all areas of the business.

With a strong foundation in structural engineering, Stephen has led and contributed to projects across diverse sectors including aviation, healthcare, education, industrial, residential, commercial, retail, transport, cultural, and energy. His breadth of project experience has earned him a reputation for calm, solutions-focused leadership and deep technical credibility.
