His experience spans complex industrial and commercial developments, where his strength lies in applying sound engineering judgement to achieve practical, efficient and buildable solutions.

Michael brings a strategic perspective to projects — providing early advice on structural approach, identifying risks and opportunities, and guiding decisions that influence both cost and constructability.

Jane McVeigh

Jane McVeigh brings over 30 years of leadership experience across the engineering, property and construction sectors, with a strong focus on delivering well-managed and commercially sound project outcomes.

Her background spans both public and private environments, giving her a deep understanding of how projects are initiated, approved and delivered in practice.

Jane plays a key role in setting the direction of McVeigh Consultants, ensuring the business maintains a disciplined, client-focused approach to project delivery. She works closely with teams to provide clarity around scope, manage expectations, and guide projects through complex regulatory and commercial environments.

Her expertise in property and infrastructure development enables her to: navigate planning and approval processes; identify risks and constraints early; and align project outcomes with commercial objectives

Stephen Davies

Stephen Davies brings over 30 years of structural engineering experience and plays a central role in ensuring consistent, controlled project delivery across McVeigh.

As Head of Operations, Stephen is responsible for overseeing project performance, resourcing and quality, ensuring that all work aligns with the standards and systems that underpin the McVeigh approach.

With a strong technical background, Stephen has led the delivery of complex industrial and commercial projects and understands the importance of clear, well-resolved structural design in achieving efficient and buildable outcomes.

His role focuses on: maintaining quality and consistency across all projects; ensuring design outputs are clear, coordinated and practical; and supporting teams to deliver work efficiently and to a high standard.

Atef Raouf

Atef Raouf brings over 20 years of structural engineering experience, with strong technical capability across industrial, commercial and complex structural systems.

His experience spans reinforced concrete, post-tensioned and structural steel design, with a focus on delivering clear, efficient and well-resolved structural solutions.

Atef has a detailed understanding of Australian Standards and applies this knowledge to ensure designs are not only compliant, but practical and buildable.

His approach combines technical precision with real-world construction understanding, supporting: efficient structural design; clear and coordinated documentation; and safe and buildable outcomes

Buddhi Lanka

Buddhi is a Senior Structural Engineer with close to 20 years of experience across engineering practice, research and academia, bringing strong analytical capability to complex structural challenges.

He specialises in structural modelling and analysis, supporting the development of efficient, well-resolved and reliable design solutions across a range of structural systems.

His experience includes precast structures, buildings, foundations, retaining systems and complex below-ground structures, where accuracy and technical clarity are critical to project success.
